Founder and designer, Leighton Clapton has always been most comfortable following creative pursuits. This passion for art and design, culminated in him launching his own interior design studio more than 17 years ago. Graduated from BHC Design School in Cape Town after completing 3 year diploma in Interior Design.
Leighton is known for his skill at transforming spaces into bespoke creations that exude elegance, comfort and luxury – a perfect union of function and flair, executed to precision.
It is this signature style that he has brought to some of the most premium addresses in South Africa, on projects ranging from R2 million to R75 million, for residential spaces anywhere from 180sqm to 2000sqm, through to 8000sqm commercial projects.
Erica has been with our team for many years now, and has an amazing eye for design, adding great value to our client's homes and other related projects.
She has a keen ability and profound understand of floor-plans and specialising in planning better spaces for our clients and has proved to be a true asset to our team.

Joe Buitendag
Social Media and Communications Manager
After completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Information design, Joe has spent the last 15 years working in various forms of design with a passion for creative digital media communications. This has ranged from graphic design, creative direction, fashion shoots, marketing, social media creation and strategy.
Joe has been working with SOdesigns for the last few years and has proven to be a true asset in present out company within the marketing and social media arena.
Ulrich has worked as a Production Coordinator since 2015, after completing a BA in Motion Picture from AFDA (School of Film, Television and Live Performance).
He prides himself as a hard worker, enthusiastic team member and prolific organiser. He has been trained to manage projects more effectively than most and has a high ability to meet tight deadlines with an avid negotiation skill.
He thrives in problem solving and creative thinking - and not afraid to go the extra mile to meet the standard set by the company and clients, while upholding client relationships as his top priority.

Sarona has been a true asset to SOdesign and Interiors; with a wealth of financial knowledge and slightly more that 33 years experience in the financial sector; with having worked with clients such as Price Waterhouse Coopers to the University of Stellenbosch, we are truly honoured to have her as part of our dynamic team.
Sarona is also a full fledged tax practitioner and successfully assists SOdesigns navigate through these existing economic times and structured both Corporate, Commercial and Residential project for our clients - this allowing us the ability to focus on our best possible business practise and trade in Interior Architecture.
We are truly proud to have Sarona as our Financial Manager and honoured to have her as part of our business, almost form inception, 2004.
