When a long-standing client invited us to reimagine their newly acquired holiday home on the banks of the Vaal River, we saw the opportunity for a dramatic transformation. The original interior, a dark and cluttered African timber style reminiscent of the late 90s, no longer suited the client’s vision for a bright, contemporary retreat. Our approach was bold - a complete 360° redesign, starting with a fresh AutoCAD floorplan that redefined every space for modern living.

From Dark and Dated to Bright and Inviting

We stripped away the heavy finishes and unnecessary clutter, introducing a lighter palette and elegant finishes that instantly refreshed the atmosphere. The open-plan lounge and dining area now flow seamlessly onto a spacious covered patio and sparkling pool, creating an effortless connection between indoor comfort and outdoor relaxation. The custom TV unit, spanning the entire lounge wall, serves as both a functional centrepiece and a design statement.

Custom Touches and Personalised Spaces

Each bedroom was individually styled with custom-made beds and bases, complemented by carefully chosen wallpapers to give every room its own character. We thoughtfully repurposed select furnishings and artwork, blending old favorites with new additions to create a cohesive, contemporary look. Ample natural light, modern décor, and quality finishes now define every corner of the home.
